Death Dynamic CD Album

Death Dynamic is a grunge CD album inspired by gloomy and lo-fi aesthetics used in grunge music. When first mapping out ideas for the design, I did research on the music genre and took a look at the use of themes it uses. I then decided to take the musical components and decided to play out on how I can use it in a design viewpoint.

Design Process

Starting off with creating a typography design for the album name. I used heavy influence from albums that use sharp designs on there lettering (Pearl Jam, Stone Pilots, Misfits, etc)

The concept at first started off as creating a basic type design but then I decided to create something a little more fitting. My main focus was to make it more aesthetically appealing, instead of just having a standard type, I did some research on what type design would match on a grunge album cover.

I then moved onto using an image from an instagram influencer. The image itself before had a bright complexion. After editing, I used grainy textures, dark themes, and dark moss colors to encompass the grunge theme a little more.
